Inspiration Board: Nautical themed

The inspiration Board contains a suggested colour palette, fonts, logos/icons and background images or patterns which can be used to create a blog design in the given theme. As far as is possible, I try to point out where you will can obtain the fonts, icons/logos and any backgrounds. However, since the main concept behind the inspiration Board is to give you a starting point, specific resources such as backgrounds will not always exist.

The target audience for today's inspiration board is likely to be nautical themed and family blogs whose owners are looking for something fresh and quirky.

The elegant title font is called sailors; It's a free font, available from DA font. This is NOT a Google Web font, which means that, if you wanted to use this font for your sidebar titles, you would need to make your sidebar titles as images, or upload the font to an external host.

For the secondary title and heading font, I have selected a Google Web font called Pacifico - and is available free of charge from font squirrel. Whether you decide to download the font, or use the GWF version, depends on whether you want the font embedded in your image.

For the secondary title and heading font, I have selected another Google Web font. The font is called Open Sans Condensed and is available free of charge from font squirrel. Again, whether you decide to download the font, or use the GWF version, depends on whether you want the font embedded in your image.

The icon is a cute little boat, which you can find widget a pack of them in my store here, or purchase using the below. If you want something unique to you, please ask US about our custom illustration service.

Inspiration Board: Nautical ThemedThis is a set of 3 hand drawn boats, 1 hand drawn paper boat, 1 boat outline and 2 different waves. They are all supplied in png format at 300 dpi (size approx' 4 inches). All graphics drawn by me and this pack is exclusive to Louise Frank's designs.

For nautical-blogs, wave-like patterns and stripes work really well. The backgrounds shown in the preview are just that, but if you'd like US to make a background for you, just ask US about our custom design services.

The colour palette is typically nautical and we've even provided the hex colour codes so that you can set your borders and fonts to match.
